CBS has revealed that LL Cool J will resume his legendary role as Sam Hanna in NCIS Season 22. The beloved NCIS: Los Angeles star will appear in Episode 18, which airs on April 21, marking an amazing crossover moment that fans will not want to miss.
LL Cool J thrilled viewers with a behind-the-scenes Instagram video, declaring, “Back on set, baby! NCIS. Let’s get it.”
This surprise presence comes after Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer) intimated that “someone from NCIS’ past” will return this season. We now know who!
LL Cool J portrayed Sam Hanna for all 14 seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles, which wrapped in May 2023. He then continued the role in NCIS: Hawai’i throughout its third (and final) season. Prior to this upcoming episode, Sam also appeared briefly in NCIS Seasons 6 and 20.
The mothership series is currently on a brief break but returns Monday, March 24, with Episode 15. And here’s more good news-NCIS has officially been renewed for Season 23, securing more action-packed investigations ahead.
